Location of the observatory

The observatory (Lindenallee, Berg-Aufkirchen) lies 683 meters above sealevel in Aufkirchen, part of the village of Berg, close to Lake Starnberg (25 km Southeast of Munich). Coming by car from Munich, leave the Autobahn at exit Percha and take the road to Berg. Turn left in Berg to Aufkirchen, and stop on the hill at the small parking place north of the widely visible church. Walk through the romantic tree-planted alley for about 300 meters, and turn right to the water reservoir. Several maps are provided below to assist orientation.
